By accessing or using Doc9 ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
Doc9 provides AI-powered document processing services, including document editing, template management, and related APIs. The Service operates on a credit-based system where credits are consumed when processing documents.
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including API keys. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Credits are purchased in advance and consumed when you use document processing features. Credit purchases are non-refundable except where required by law or in cases of service failure where a job fails due to a platform error. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice. We accept payment via Stripe and supported cryptocurrency tokens.
The Service is provided strictly for software testing, demonstration, quality assurance, entertainment, and artistic purposes only. You agree not to use the Service to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe is being used in violation of this section, without prior notice and without refund.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Doc9, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your use of the Service for any illegal purpose, including but not limited to fraud, forgery, or copyright infringement; (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights; or (d) any content you upload to or generate through the Service.
You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the content you create using the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content. The Service itself, including its design, code, and branding, remains our intellectual property.
Access to the Doc9 API is governed by these terms and any applicable rate limits. API keys are confidential and must not be shared publicly. We reserve the right to revoke API keys that are used in violation of these terms or that pose a security risk.
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for temporary unavailability due to circumstances beyond our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doc9 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Unused credits are non-refundable upon termination except where required by law. We will make your data available for export for a reasonable period following termination.
We may modify these terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes through the Service or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
